My love of jewelry began in childhood, but the path to Bazaar of Treasures™ started during an unexpected chapter of my life.
In 2023, I was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer. Between surgery and chemotherapy treatments, an unexpected opportunity arose: the kindest soul handed me a bag of little silver rings and said see what you can do with it, knowing my love of precious metals. So I started creating content and selling silver jewelry online. On the days I felt well enough, this little “exercise” gave me something to look forward to. When I didn't, which was most days, I was able to close shop.
As I researched these vintage pieces, I began to appreciate more than their beauty. I saw the time, skill, and care their creators had poured into them, and I wanted to help preserve their artistry and stories. I didn't want them to end up in the "melting pot."
I like to call it “from the heart to the art.”
What began as a way to keep my mind occupied became a source of joy and comfort. In the solitude of my bedroom, as I healed through something so traumatic and unexpected, this work gave me a connection to beauty, creativity, and possibility.
And my little hobby grew. Today, Bazaar of Treasures is approaching 22,000 followers on Poshmark, with more than 1,600+ items sold and a 4.9 star rating.
Before Bazaar of Treasures, I worked as a professional brand ambassador, introducing products to people through demonstrations in grocery stores and at farmers markets. I chose to work only with brands I genuinely believed in. Sharing something I loved, and helping someone discover why they might love it too, was always my favorite part.
That instinct is still very much a part of me. Jewelry remains at the heart of Bazaar of Treasures, but you’ll also find a few other things I’m excited to share, from gemstone soaps and lip balm to a garlic grater. They may seem like unexpected companions, but the connection is simple: they’re things I love and believe are worth introducing to you.
Today, I’m so excited to share this collection with you, especially the beautiful artisanal, historical, and cultural adornments that first inspired it, each ready for another chapter with you.
To me, wearing a vintage piece is profound and a way of giving it a second chance, not unlike my own second chance. It comes alive again, with renewed purpose, ready to rock your world and make you feel incredible every time you wear it.
And when you give one as a gift, its story continues through the bond between you and the person receiving it. Something already special takes on a new meaning, becoming part of your story, too.
With Love and Immense Gratitude,
EJ
