World-renowned Navajo silversmith, Tommy Jackson (1958-2025), was a prolific master silversmith and highly respected for his ability to merge traditional Navajo designs with modern aesthetics. His work is featured worldwide in museums and in private collections. Born in Phoenix, AZ and raised in Chinle, he learned his craft from his parents. Receiving his degree in Elementary Education from the University of Arizona, then teaching at the Wide Ruins Community School. His legacy is that he mentored many who became professional jewelers and worked closely with his wife, Marie and their children.
