Vintage Harris Joe Sterling Silver Chandelier Repousse Earrings

Harris Joe is a prominent Navajo silversmith whose work is found through specialty Native American jewelry boutiques. Known for lightweight comfort, these are 7g per earring and measure approximately 3" in length; they are very easy to wear. Harris Joe comes from a prominent family of artisans based in New Mexico, and is the half-brother of the world renowned Navajo silversmith Vincent Platero. Gemstone: The technique used in these earrings is "repousse" style and involves hammering designs from the back of the metal to create a raised effect on the front. Hallmarks are HARRIS JOE STERLING. Highly collectible, beautiful, and in excellent preloved condition. Circa 1980s.
